Gentle resources that helped me feel grounded, even when everything felt overwhelming.
I used to believe that wellness was something I had to earn through productivity. I thought it required perfection or pushing through to the end. But during my burnout season, what I needed most wasn’t to do more. It was to feel safe, seen, and supported.
One of the most powerful shifts happened when I discovered a wellness tool. I had never truly been taught to use it: my inner reset.
🌿 Let-Go Breath Practice:
– Inhale slowly through your nose while silently saying *let*
– Exhale gently through your mouth while silently saying *go*
– Repeat for 2–5 minutes, noticing the subtle shift as your body softens and your breath slows
It’s simple, accessible, and available anytime—no apps, no perfection needed.
Once you’ve created a little space with your breath, you can deepen the reset with a practice I call the Emotional Body Check-In.
🌿 Emotional Body Check-In:
– Sit quietly and place one hand on your heart or belly
– Ask: *What emotion am I feeling right now—even just a hint?*
– Then ask: *Where do I feel this in my body?*
– Notice without judgment. You don’t need to change or fix anything. Just acknowledge.
You may feel heat, tightness, buzzing, or numbness. You may not have words yet—that’s okay too. The gift is in the noticing.
This check-in invites your nervous system to feel safe in your awareness. And with awareness, healing begins.
If you’re drawn to explore more tools like this, you may want to learn about breathwork. Consider exploring emotional regulation. You might also be interested in daily reset rituals and body-based healing. I share a comprehensive and compassionate approach in my book, Holistic Vagus Nerve Reset.
This book is a guide for anyone who has felt overwhelmed. It helps those who have felt burned out. It’s also for anyone unsure about how to reconnect with themselves.
