As we step into August, there’s a quiet shift in the air. The golden light lingers just a little longer. The pace of summer begins to soften. This month, I’m embracing the themes of Reflection, Integration, and Abundance. They are not lofty concepts. They are lived experiences we can practice gently, one breath at a time.
🌕 Why These Themes?
Reflection invites us to pause. We can look back without judgment. We can notice what’s been rising within us lately. This includes the emotions, patterns, and small wins that we have overlooked.
Integration asks: What wisdom do I carry now that I didn’t before? How can I embody it?
And Abundance reminds us that life is already offering so much. It is not just in material form. It is in love, learning, beauty, and breath. Abundance isn’t something we earn; it’s something we allow.
✨ A Practice for You: The Mirror Journal
This is one of my favorite practices when I feel scattered. I also use it when I want to reconnect with my inner knowing and power.
🪞The Mirror Journal: A 10-Minute Practice for Inner Clarity
You’ll need: a mirror, a journal, and 10 quiet minutes.
- Sit in front of the mirror and make gentle eye contact with yourself. Take three deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
- Say aloud (or silently):
“I am here. I see you. I welcome all of you.”
(It can feel awkward — that’s okay. Stay with it.) - Ask yourself aloud or in your journal:
- What part of me is asking to be seen or heard right now?
- What lesson or experience would I like to integrate this month?
- Where is abundance already here in my life?
- Free-write for 5–7 minutes. Let the words flow without editing. You may be surprised by what comes up.
- Close with gratitude. Place a hand on your heart and say:
“Thank you. I trust myself to receive and allow.”
