  1. Find a quiet moment
  2. Place your hand on your heart
  3. Close your eyes and take three deep breaths
  4. Ask yourself: “What does my younger self need right now?”
  5. Listen without judgment
  6. Notice what comes up – a feeling, an image, a memory, a sensation
  7. Respond with compassion: “I see you. I’m here. You’re safe.”

That’s it. Simple, but powerful.

Do this daily for a week and notice what shifts.

Why I Wrote Inner Child Freedom

This practice is one thing I wish I had. There are 20+ others like it. I wanted these when I was successful on paper but struggling personally.

After writing Holistic Vagus Nerve Reset, I provided readers with the tools for nervous system regulation. I kept hearing: “I’m doing the practices, they help, and I am still struggling?”
