Taking a leap of faith

Taking a leap of faith has been one of the most profound and transformative decisions I’ve ever made. I worked at the same accounting firm for two decades. My career provided stability. This stability offered a comforting sense of security. Yet, over time, I felt that this security was turning into a cage. My heart began to whisper for change.

I reflect on my journey and realize that my time at the firm was not just about numbers and deadlines. It was a tapestry of experiences woven with gratitude and growth. Each moment spent there has shaped my skills and built relationships that I truly cherish. Yet, as the seasons of life shifted, so too did my passions and purpose. I have discovered a strong desire to teach meditation and mindfulness, especially to children. This desire has unveiled a deep-seated need to nurture not only myself but others as well.

Standing at the crossroads of this decision has brought a mix of excitement and trepidation. It requires a great deal of courage to leave behind the familiar and step into the unknown. Writing a resignation letter felt daunting. But as I thought about it, the words started to come to me naturally. In that moment, I knew my heart was ready to take this leap.

On October 8th, a day that holds personal significance for me, I officially made the transition. It marked the end of one chapter. It also marked the beginning of a new adventure. I hope this new adventure will be guided by passion and purpose.

When I shared my decision with my partner, his reaction caught me off guard. He felt sad at the thought of losing what he considered the heart of our group. He said that I represented all heart. In that moment, I didn’t regret my decision; instead, I felt reaffirmed. If he sees me as someone who follows my heart, then I know I’m on the right path.
